WaiBOP United is pleased to confirm the following players will be part of our squad for the remainder of the season: Florian Matk (midfielder), Sam Messam (striker), Ethan Galbraith (striker), Adam Luque (defender) and Ben Hunt (defender).
Florian hails from Germany. He is 22 years of age, plays in midfield and joins us from Australian club, Lake Macquarie City.
Sam is a striker and joins from Australian club St George. He has played in Australia since 2010. Prior to that he played for Hawke’s Bay United in the ASB Premiership and also represented New Zealand at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Ethan also plays up front and joins from Sydney club, APIA Leichardt. Prior to that he played 15 matches for Team Wellington in the ASB Premiership and he also represented New Zealand at the 2011 FIFA Under-20 World Cup.
Adam was one of WaiBOP United’s initial signings but was unable to be part of the squad for the first half of the season due to injury. A central defender, he impressed for Hamilton Wanderers during the 2013 NRFL Premier League season.
Ben is a defender and joins us from Three Kings United for the remainder of the summer.
We can advise that Maksim Manko has joined Waitakere United. We thank Maksim for his work while at WaiBOP United and wish him well for the rest of the season.
We have also released Milos Nikolic, George Slefendorfas, Marcel Galera Corbera, Raymond How and Jacob Hall.
