We visited Otonga Primary School in Rotorua prior to our opening match in the ASB Premiership.
Head Coach Peter Smith was joined by Andy McNeil, Liam Higgins, Danyon Drake and Reid Drake for a signing session and kick around with the kids.
Smith made it clear that events like this are important for the development of WaiBOP United. “It’s important we get out and engage with people from across the region. Hopefully some of the kids we met today will come along to the game on Sunday, like what they see, and be inspired to play football.”
We play Canterbury United at Rotorua International Stadium on Sunday November 10. Kick-off is at 1pm.
