Hear the ‘inside story’ of New Zealand’s World Cup campaign
Here’s your chance to enjoy top level football in the company of legendary All White and national team manager Brian Turner.
He’s coming to Cambridge to speak at a special luncheon before WaiBOP United plays Auckland City in their ASB Premiership game at John Kerkhof Park on Saturday January 18.
This is an excellent opportunity to hear Brian’s views on the All Whites’ latest World Cup campaign, as well as his thoughts on the modern game. Few footballers have as much experience and insight as this veteran of 102 games for New Zealand (including 59 full internationals in which he scored 21 goals). A member of the 1982 All Whites who went to Spain, he was assistant coach (to Ricki Herbert) for New Zealand at the 2010 World Cup Finals and was team manager for the 2013 World Cup campaign. A three-time winner of New Zealand’s Player of the Year Award, he was inducted to Football’s Hall of Fame in 1995.
This event is being staged by Cambridge FC in association with Friends of Football which is a not–for–profit organisation committed to the promotion and improvement of the game in New Zealand.
