Gower Park This round 1 ASB Premiership match is the first national league match at Hamilton’s Gower Park since March 14, 1997, when Waitakere City defeated Melville United 4-1. It is Team Wellington’s first visit to Gower Park since 2012 (when they beat Waikato FC 6-1 in the final of the White Ribbon Cup). The surface at Gower Park was upgraded prior to the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup, as it was used as one of four training venues for teams based in Hamilton.
