Just as Manchester United are called the Red Devils, Norwich City are called the Canaries and Waikato United used to be called The Bulls, we want WaiBOP United to have our own visual and emotional identity.
But what should it be? We’d like you to help us build it.

This competition will take part in several stages.
Stage 1 Tell us what WaiBOP United – your team – should be named. Entries close on August 23 and will only be accepted on the official hard copy entry form* or digital entry form (above). Please make sure you fill out all the required sections on the entry form. You may enter as many times as you like – the more ideas we have the better!
Stage 2 Our team of experts will choose the best three by August 31. If more than one person submits one of these three names, then a winner will be drawn out of a hat.
Stage 3 Working with the people who submitted them, the top three names will have a design/logo produced by a leading advertising company. The three designs will be available for public scrutiny by September 13.
Stage 4 The top three names and designs will put up for a public online vote, with the highest polling name and design then used to identify your team. The winning entry will be announced on September 28.
Prizes The three winners will each claim a 2013/14 WaiBOP United ASB Premiership season pass to use themselves. We may also have something more in the prize cupboard too, if you’re lucky.
