The Bay SportsMed WaiBOP United Youth Team head north this weekend to play Auckland United in the latest round of the ASB Youth League.
After a win and a draw in the last two games, the youth team with be confident of another good showing against potentially dangerous opponents. Coach, Paul Drake, is aware of the threat to be caused by Auckland but believes his side has what it takes to get a positive result. “It’s been a bit of an up and down season for us, but the quality of our performances have generally been good,” said Drake ahead of the match. “At some point that quality of performance has to turn into results.”
Drake went on to say: “I’d definitely like to win a few more games before the end of the season. More than that, however, I think that’s what the players want. Hopefully we can start a run this Sunday.”
The match kicks off at 4pm on Sunday November 30 at McLennan Park, Papakura.
