The Range, our match day magazine, has won the award for Programme of the Year at the annual NZ Football Media Association (NZFMA) awards, held this evening in Auckland.
The awards function, which was held as part of Friends of Football’s Celebration of Excellence dinner, was organised in conjunction with NZFMA and NZ Football. It also featured new All Whites coach Anthony Hudson and NZF chief executive Andy Martin among the speakers.
WaiBOP United Media Manager, Dwayne Barlow, was delighted to pick up the gong. “When Josh [Easby, editor of The Range] and I sat down to put this together one of the things we were clear on was to produce a publication that was good enough to win programme of the year, so in that sense it’s mission accomplished,” said Barlow. “Josh is a master at what he does and we had some great contributors, along with a print partner in Print House, that allowed us to do a really good job.”
The first issue of The Range for the 2014/15 ASB Premiership will be available at our first home game, when we play Wanderers SC at Links Ave, Mt Maunganui, on Saturday November 22.
In the meantime, you can check out digital copies of the back catalogue here.
