Shakespeare Cliff juts out into Mercury Bay and the viewing platform at the top offers you a panoramic view of the bay (a real panoramic view too, not a run-of-the-mill panoramic view). To your right Cooks Beach, the best beach in New Zealand (voted by Marko), stretches across to Purangi Estuary, while around to your left Whitianga’s Buffalo Beach meanders around towards Simpson’s Beach.
